Dr. Kansal is an assistant professor in the clinician track at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine and a member of the Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation.
Dr. Kansal specializes in nuclear cardiology with research in a non-invasive assessment of endothelial function and vascular compliance using brachial artery ultrasound and radial tonometry as it correlates with calcium scores measured by EBCT.
Dr. Kansal received her BA in Biochemistry from Barnard College, Columbia University. She then received her MD from the University of South Alabama. She completed her internal medicine residency and her cardiovascualr disease fellowship at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center. She is dually boarded in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine.
Dr. Kansal is fluent in French, Hindi, and Punjabi and has delivered several oral presentations is published in a number of journals, such as the Journal of Nuclear Medicine, Journal of Investigative Medicine, and Molecular Endocrinology
