Biographical Sketch

Dr. Jacobson received his medical degree from the Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. He performed his internal medicine residency at the New York-Weill Cornell Medical Center. He then received training in cardiology and sub-specialty training in cardiac electrophysiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, including an additional year as a research fellow in cardiac electrophysiology.

Dr. Jacobson manages the spectrum of illnesses in cardiac electrophysiology utilizing medical therapy, device implantation (implantable cardioverter-defibrillators and pacemakers), and non-surgical catheter-based ablation procedures. He is most interested in ablation therapy for complex arrhythmias (ventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, and atypical atrial flutter).

Dr. Jacobson is currently investigating new ablation techniques for ventricular tachycardia. He is currently enrolling patients in a clinical trial utilizing these new ablation techniques. He is also interested in the role of advanced cardiac imaging (CT and MRI) to aid in the ablation of arrhythmias. He is board certified in clinical cardiac electrophysiology, cardiovascular diseases, and internal medicine.
