Dr. Rodriguez is a vascular surgeon at the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute, assistant professor of surgery at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine and a member of the Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation.
Dr. Rodriguez's clinical activities focus on arterial and venous surgery and percutaneous interventions. Areas of special interest include complex lower extremity revascularization and management of arterial aneurysms using both traditional open surgery and minimally invasive, catheter-based therapies. He has active research interests in minimally invasive treatment of aneurysms and lower extremity occlusive disease.
Dr. Heron Rodriguez received his medical degree from Universidad Popular Autonoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP) in Puebla, Mexico, completed his General Surgery training at Columbus/St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, and his vascular surgery fellowship at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. He is board certified in general surgery and vascular surgery.
