Dr. Kadish is a member of the Division of Cardiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital focusing on ICD implantation, pacemakers, atrial fibrillation, and catheter ablation.
Dr. Kadish is a member of the Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation and a professor at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. He is also an active researcher, studying ICD implantation to prevent sudden cardiac death, new techniques in catheter ablation, resynchronization therapy, the differences between men and women in arrhythmias, and stem cell cardiac repair and arrhythmia. He is currently working in 11 grant-funded initiatives from both the National Institutes of Health and private corporations.
Dr. Kadish has received many academic awards and appointments, including scholar of the Feinberg Cardiovascular Institute, fellow of the American Society of Clinical Investigation, the NASPE Young Investigator Award First Prize, the Alpha Omega Alpha Ira Rubin Award for Excellence in Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Medicine, and the Irving Hirsch Research Fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
In addition, Dr. Kadish is active in a number of professional societies; he is an elected member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation, a former chair of the AHA/ACC/ACP Task Force on Standards for ECG Interpretation, and a North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology and American Heart Association plenary sessions speaker. He has held positions in the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is on the editorial boards of six medical journals.
Dr. Kadish graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1980. He completed both his internship and residency at Brigham & Women's Hospital and a fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and cardiac electrophysiology. He is fluent in the Hebrew language.
